anyone had the Tibal tubercle transfer and the arthscope done on the knee?

looking for advice as next week l am i hospital having this operation done to my knee
how long were you on crutches for? how long till you were able to drive ect?

they have told that late down the track l will need to get a knee replacement but not at the moment as l am to young for that

have been told to take my own crutches in with me into hospital

I can't help you sorry but it would be helpful if you put
your thread titles relating to what you're asking about. So, for
example if you put 'tibial tubercle transfer' as your heading you have a higher chance of attracting the attention of someone who it relates to rather than someone skipping past it because they don't know what the thread is about.

Me! I had that done at 18. I was in a full splint for around 8 weeks (on crutches for the same amount of time) and then had to do loads of physio. It was a good while before I had enough strength in my leg to push the clutch in on my car (manual).
Any other questions I'm happy to answer. I do remember them telling me that I'd wake up and feel a bit of pain but I didn't require any pain meds except for panadol (high pain threshold)
