Hoping for some insight as to what I might be doing wrong as starting to seriously get down about this.

Am stills struggling to loose the last of the baby weight and DD is now over 1 year old!! Ithought maybe when I finished BF (at 11 monhts) ti would start to move but nop, still there!!

This is a normal days food:

Breakfast – home made bircher museli with LSA and soy milk + soy cappucinno
Morning tea – piece of fruit and maybe a small serve of nuts
Lunch – Sushi roll (Salmon or tofu) and small seaweed salad or rice paper roll (prawn or tofu) or soup (broth based not cream based and with tofu, lentils etc) + piece of fruit
Afternoon – small serve of nuts
Dinner– grilled meat and steam vegetables or salad. Sometimes I have a serve of yoghurt or a piece of fruit after dinner

In addition, somedays I have a second coffee in the afternoon and I always drink 2L+ of water plus a few cups of Rooibos tea (with soy milk and ½ tsp sugar – hopefully will drop the last of the sugar this week). Very occasionally I may have a piece of wheat free bread with cheese for afternoon tea instead of the nuts.

For exercise (gym classes started again about 4 weeks ago):
Monday to Thursday – at least 30 minutes walking
Monday – pump class
Tuesday – core class
Thursday – pilates or yoga
Friday ,Saturday and Sunday – at least 1 hour walking per day.

I am also planning on adding a Cycle class on Wednesday from next week.

Any ideas on what to improve ?

Sounds great written down but maybe plug everything into calorie king and see if there are sneaky calories in there that shouldn't be! Swap the sugar for natvia (stevia based) much lower in calories and tastes the same! One sachet for me does about 3 coffees!

I have just started WW Online and some of the food I considered healthy.......was quite high in points - which shocked me somewhat!

Good luck! I am still trying to lose baby weight and my youngest will be 8 this Nov! LOL

my initial first thoughts are that the diet looks pretty good and there is a lot of exercise (although personally I don't think walking is that helpful for weight loss or yoga), so I would look at portion size? put it in to a calorie counter which works out the calories you should consume for weight loss with your height, gender, age, weight and exercise.

If your portions are ok, maybe mix it up with a relaxed day every now and again (zig zag calories might kick your metabolism into gear).

Otherwise, how old are you? Maybe your body is happy at that weight. I used to be 45 kg until I was 20 and I know that I will never see that again without starving myself constantly, which I am not interested in doing. Do you really need to get back to your pre-baby weight?

Ignorance is not a point of view.
I second the suggestion of recording in Calorieking, even just for a week (it is free). The thing that caught me out was things like serving sizes of fruit and nuts.

Many apples for example, are actually "2 serves" of fruit. And a "serve" of nuts is only about 10 almonds, for example.

Depending what is in your museli, that could also be a source of hidden cals. Otherwise, it sounds like you are definitely on track with a fairly balanced and healthy diet.

The other thing to think about is how far are you from your goal? Your body will be different after growing and nourishing a baby. You are also 2 years older than before you got pregnant. So be realistic in your expectations. original.gif

I can't be much help regarding your diet generally as the other replies have said the same as I would.

My only advise is about how i dropped sugar from my Teas and Coffees - add a little cold water to the cup after you put your Tea/Coffee in but before the hot water. If the dry ingredient is moist then they won't burn and release that bitter taste therefore making a smoother drink. that way i was able to remove the sugar much quicker and easier.

Mum to two boys!! :O
Have you had blood tests? Its worth getting your thyroid checked if you are not losing weight on that regime.

Have you taken your measurements as well as your weight?

Just because the numbers on the scale doesn't go down doesn't mean you aren't getting leaner and fitter.

Your diet looks pretty good to me.

Have you thought about weighing your portions. I have just started a blackmores online food diary and it shocked me how small portions really are.

Could you swap one of your nuts or fruit to raw veges or vegetable juice?

Are you on any medications that could affect weight retention? Do you drink alcohol/juice or anything else like that?

Could it be portion size, or are you possibly at a weight which is actually healthy for you now (not according to BMI - forget that load of nonsense)?
