Thanks all. I have cancelled the GP appointment, going to the ER. DH is rushing home to look after DD1. I am so worried.

Thanks for all your suggestions and thoughts. I took her to the ER and she was immediately admitted. She is receiving IV fluids and antibiotics and is so much better. She will be in here for 2 nights and hopefully we will go home tomorrow.
Wow, I couldn't believe how sick she got so quickly. Thanks again. |

So it might be worth keeping a few of those in the freezer in case you need them in the future. I think you can buy them at most chemists.  I agree to this - icy poles are much easier to get into sick little kids. Great news OP, lucky you didn't wait by the sounds of things! |

When DS had gastro and was admitted to hospital for dehydration (he was barely weeing, wouldn't keep anything down and by the time he did wee it was the orangy crystal stuff in his nappy) he was nil by mouth while he received fluids overnight and then on half size bottles (usually 200 ml 4 scoops went to 100ml and 1 scoop) and this was upped gradually to make sure he could keep it down. This was under the recommendation of 2 GP's and paed's at Westmead Children's Hospital. |
