I have nearly a full bottle of red wine that apparently is not to DH's liking and so am wondering what I could cook with it - besides beef burgundy, any ideas & inspirations would be appreciated.

I'd just leave it in the cupboard and use it whenever I was making a bologanaise or casserole.

Or a beef fondue for the adults - mmmmmmm. Beef stock and half a bottle of the red - dip strip of fillet steak in to cook then dunk into dip of your choice. Delish!
Boiled potatoes and salad on the side. |

Happens to us at least once a week when we don't like the wine that we open. I keep it to add into casseroles and bologaise as a PP suggsted.

Freeze it in ice cube trays, then put the frozen cubes into a freezer bag and keep it in the freezer to add a few cubes to bolognaise or beef casseroles. Makes a great change to the flavour and the alcohol evaporates out so no problem for kids to eat. You would not be able to leave it in a cupboard for long before it went off.

Also very nice when added to beef stroganoff - half red wine, half stock.

I like to add red wine to my stews, my bolognese sauce and even things like minestrone soup.
