Cobwebs are the new black!

I realised today that some of my favourite songs, I don't even know the lyrics to as they are in another language.

My cuurent favourite song is in Korean and I find it hilarious even though the only words I know are Oppa Gungnam style:

I also love 99 Luftballons and Du Hast.

Whilst I get the basic gist I couldn't tell you what they really mean as I don't speak German. Yet it doesn't matter!

What are your favourite songs in another language and what language are they?

I have a very daggy soft spot for some non English Eurovision songs from years past. So daggy that I'm not naming or linking.

I don't remember where I heard this one, but I think it's just beautiful:

It's in Hebrew.

I also listen to a lot of Brazilian music, which is in Brazilian-Portuguese. Love love love it, even if I don't understand all of it!

Listening to this song is one of my earliest memories. I don't think the song had been released very long before my sister bought the 45rpm record.

I love it still all these years later.

Does Sigur Ros count?

I adore them. So ethereal. I am using one of their songs to walk down the aisle to in a few months original.gif

I love singing french songs to my bub..
Sur la pont d'Avignon
Frere Jacques

There's also a fabulous french song featured in the movie The Darjeeling Limited, called Les Champs Elysee - which now that I've looked it up is actually an oldie!

What comes to mind is our wedding song, called Un Altro Amore. Just saw it on some show on tv and it was SO beautiful.

Oooh that Sukiyaki song is beautiful!

Is it a song about food? I know yaki means grilled.
