House 1 we looked at, took some friends to see it, made the offer that arvo.

House 2 we looked at. Months later I went and saw it alone. Made an offer the next day. DH trusted that if I was still happy with it, then he would be too. We also had internet photos as well as plans.

Always subject to building and pest as well as finance.

Once. We lived 6.5 hours away and had 4 children aged 4,3,2 and 5 months, and had travelled here 4 times in 3 weeks already looking for a rental. We had to buy because the rentals we wanted were both sold (1 before we signed the lease, the other after we signed but we didn't want to move in 6 months).
3.5 years later and it still suits us with no renovations necessary.

The first place, once. I didn't have any interest at the time, but then I read a few weeks later that it had passed in at the auction, so put in a low offer and got the place. When I was at the REA signing the contract, I couldn't even really remember what the place was like. In hindsight, quite stupid, but it worked out ok.

Next place, twice. Knew I wanted it after the first viewing and put an low offer i, which was knocked back. Took someone back through before putting in a sensible offer, which was accepted.

I tend to be a bit impulsive..

The place we are currently buying - twice. We have also visited the street (not the house) twice in the meantime to see if it was party central on weekends (went on a friday night, and a saturday evening) The settlement is wednesday week - DP will be going over Friday for a pre-settlement inspection.

24 hours is never enough.......
Our first purchase was a flat - looked once, made an offer.
Our second purchase was two flats side-by-side. We looked once, made an offer. With both of these we were really buying a floor plan/space.
Our first house, we looked once, made an offer. However, we were already familiar with the general floor plan and the quality of building as my MIL/FIL wive just around the corner in a house by the same developer. That made it much easier!

Twice for both houses.

With our first house I liked it he first time DH didn't but when he saw it empty loved it. Our second house we looked at before we sold.It was still available when we sold a few weeks later so we looked again.

twice for my first home.

First time I went to look at it on my way home from work on the friday organised a second viewing with my parents on the saturday and signed the contract saturday afternoon. I was 19 at the time.

With our current home I think it was 3 times. Once at home open, another time for a second view and for DH to convince me and then a third time with my parents (I like their opinions). I had to be convinced to buy it by DH as I wanted another area and a pool. I don't want to move now but it took awhile to be in love with it.

Our first home - we were living in it at the time so had already had a good look around.

Our latest home, i saw it at two or three open for inspections. DH saw it on the day of auction and we bought it that day. I think he was just sick of looking at houses. We have been lucky that there were no real problems as we did not get a building report done.

When we were looking i would go out by myself at weekends (DH generally worked them) and look. On average i would look at 10-20 houses a weekend and if i thought any had potential would get DH to have a look.
