I forgot to take my earrings out before bed and all night they were digging into the back of my head.
I was too lazy to take them out as they're the type where the butterfly screws onto the back of the stud and it's a pain to undo.

The only jewellery I wear to bed are my rings, my tragus piercing and, years ago, my tongue ring.

I put the rest of my jewellery on after my morning shower.

I commented to my SIL that I'd forgotten to put on a particular necklace I wanted to wear today and she looked at me oddly and said she never takes any of hers off to shower, swim or sleep except for her watch. She says she would feel naked without it.

I hate sleeping with chains as they tangle, my watch used to scratch my DH or whichever DD would sneak in during the night.

In the past I have lost some quite expensive items in pools and at the beach, so I learned my lesson there.

Also, I like the morning ritual of getting dressed and choosing what pieces I'd like to wear that day.

So, do you remove your jewellery or is it a permanent fixture, so to speak?

The only jewellery i normally wear to bed are my earings - and they are just a set of gold sleepers.

I take my rings, watch & necklace off - an usually within about 10 minutes of walking in the door!

On holidays though i do sleep with my watch & rings on, just so i know where they are!

I remove all my jewellery even my wedding rings when I go to bed. Occasionally I'll leave my earrings in if I forget them, but that usually only happens if they are sleepers.

Unless I am wearing really dangly earrings I leave everything on.
I am too lazy to put it all back on in the morning.

I leave my Stud earrings in but take off necklace, wedding/engagement rings (this practice started when PG first time around and 7yrs later I can't stand to sleep with my rings on still) and watch.

I have four pieces that religiously come off for showers and bed. My grandmothers earrings (coz they dig in), my long necklace as it slips over my head and I would be devastated to lose the pendant, my watch and I have a very wide, solid gold ring that if I leave it on for more than a day, causes dermatitis. Apart from those items, everything else stays on. Bangles, bracelets, toe ring, earrings, necklaces and nose stud. original.gif

The only jewellery I wear is my wedding ring and a small heart charm. They are both on a single cord around my neck (I hate wearing rings). I haven't taken it off in years.

I have four pieces of jewellery that i wear everyday and never take off

Silver hoop earrings
my wedding ring
my engagement ring
my greenstone

They are my every day wear.

I do remove my rings when doing the dishes or cutting up gross things or making meat patties etc.

I leave on my wedding ring always, and my plain gold chain if I'm wearing it. Other than that everything comes off before bed.
