This is so embarrassing to even have to write but my 9 year old son will still do a poo in his pants if he is occupied playing or at sometimes at school. He starts it in his pants. Not the whole poo but enough to make a mess and to smell it. It is so disgusting and like I said embarrassing. I have NO idea what to do about this as it is a laziness thing. Any ideas please.

That does not sound like a laziness thing. Laziness is more little kids (2y-4y) that can't be bothered stopping what they are doing to go to the toilet. I would take him to the doctors to see what's going on.

Not laziness in a 9yo.

Off to the docs for him.

It sounds like he might be lacking with his control to stop it when the urge hits. Yep, I'd take him to the doctor.

I agree, not laziness. No child that age would rather poo their pants than stop what they are doing to go to the toilet. Google encopresis. See a doctor.

I truly hope you do not tell your son he is disgusting an embarrassing. The wording in your OP suggests that is how you feel about the situation.
