I'm looking for a suitable bag for my 2yo DD and for my 6mo DS to take to daycare.
At the moment we use 'green' bags from Woollies ( I'm all class ) as they seem to fit everything in nicely because they are boxy and wide.

Both of them take a sheet and a small blanket each, two changes of spare clothes, their comforters and DS has a small chiller bag with his 3 bottles in.

I want to get bags with zips due to DD meddling and adding and removing items but I don't want backpacks as I find everything gets a bit crushed in them.

Any suggestions?

We use the backpacks from what ever show bag they've chosen from the Easter Show .

Honestly, any backpack would do. You could buy a cheap one or a 'proper' one. They all function about the same.

I got DD just a tinkerbell type one from kmart for $19 I think, big enough for 2 sheets, two sets of spare clothes etc. also since i walk everywhere it's handy that i can loosen the straps so I can carry it, there's no way she'd carry it up our big hill lol.

My son's was an angry birds knock off back pack for $12

They look little but you'd be surprised how much you can fit in them

Are the lunch boxes from Tinyme insulated?

It doesn't clearly state that they're insulated, am loving the huge range of styles to choose from!!

ETA - yes it does, if I click on More Info! My 2 are getting new lunch boxes for Christmas now

Does anyone know where I could get personalised trolley bags for daycare?

It's a bit of a juggling act trying to carry 2 backpacks and get 2 young children in the gates!

Don't get a bag with the handle that pulls out so you can pull it along. Not necessary and one side of the handle on my DS1's bag came out of the slot and won't stay back in there so not really safe either (only got the bag at Christmas last year and this happened a few months later ).

We just sue back packs and that is what the majority of parents use. Open bags, things can get lost so easily.

Is there any reason why you use insulated lunchbox?? We find at the centre I work at that when it goes in the fridge the cool air can't get into the insulated boxes as easily as the non insulated ones. Also they tend to be big and bulky and take up more room than the standard rectangle style lunchbox. My opinion though


I use a bag from one of the dearer bag shops around.....it really can only fit a lunch box, change of clothes and a small bag of wipes in it. So dont know what is going to happen nxt yr when he has to take a sheet set too.

I got something like this for my toddler.
Bascially a small backpack with his name on it, fits everything in great and its not too big and it has his name on it in huge letters so you cant miss it!
