Took my 3.5 year old DD to the Adelaide Christmas Pageant today - smiles all round.

My friend rang me just now to apologise for double booking (her DP's fault rolleyes.gif) and she couldn't come to my party tonight. No problem, I said, party is next week! So, she checked her calendar, texted her DP on the spot and yah, they are coming!

What has made you smile today?

DS is in grade 4, the oldest group in the junior school. So they take the lead parts in the christmas play.

They have a piece to learn and do in the audition. He is working so hard on it. Every hour he reads through it four or five teams, he is now at the stage that he knows most of it off by heart. He is saying it with so much expression and feeling. it is gorgeous. I do hope he gets a part.

Yesterday - DD1 came home from school and sighed, sunk her shoulder and said "It's been such a hard day, I just can't be bothered"
Today - DF stopping on his way past me, wrapping an arm around my waist to pull me closer to him, giving me a kiss and a hug. wub.gif

Warning - occasional attempts at humour - not always successful
The ladies in the op shop who, on seeing the clown costume pattern I had unearthed, launched into tales of how, at the end of each school year, their primary school had a fancy dress ball that all of the parents and children got into the spirit of. They loved to yarn - and I am the girl to listen to a yarn.

My big girl getting her hair cut (to her instructions) and the amazing end result!

My little girl taking me on a tour of the library to see all of the wonders that she found.

The beautiful rain that has just arrived.

My husband finding the pickled cucumbers in the fridge and offering me some for my sandwich.

Looking for a title in the library computer to see it say "on loan until 30 November" but going to the shelves anyway to see if there was anything like - and to find half a shelf PLUS the book in question waiting for me.

Driving past my old work and thinking how I don't have to go in there again!

Reading my sister's blog about her adventures and the rain.

Dreaming...
