HI not sure if this is the right area to put my question but with Christmas approaching we are having trouble finding something for our 4.5 year old (will be 5 just after Christmas) son. He loves Ben 10 and Spongebob but a lot of the usual things that kids love he doesn't (eg spiderman and other superheros). Plus over the year I find he can get bored with the presents he has been given for the previous Christmas. Also Im not very up to date with the toy scene and not sure what toys are appropriate for his age. So my question is this, what should I get him? Any suggestions will be great as i love to make Christmas special and this is the first year I am actually stumped!!
my child is sick of nick jr,disney, pbskids so i am trying to find some good ones that are good for her. please nothing that i have to buy a toy to register for been there already!

Have you seen www.funkyelephant.com.au
It's not toys but I've bought a few subscriptions for gifts - like you says kids get bored of the same toys and I find they get sooooo many. This is something different
