I've never been able to figure out how to do this, or even find out whether it is in fact possible.
At present we have a home laptop which has my iTunes library on it. DH has conbined his music with mine so we share it (which neither of us really like as he doesnt like half my music and I dont like half of his!).
Now its getting even trickier as DD and DS have their own iPhones and want their own libraries too.
Can anyone perhaps explain whether it is possible to have one iTunes program on our laptop but four libraries running out of it?
Thanks in advance original.gif

As long as you can set up a computer user account for each person then yes. Each of us (5) has their own user account, and we all have our own ipod so an individual i tunes library.

This works well too as I am able to copy songs sdtraight from my library into my DDs'

We have one itunes account and every device connected has a different set of music. It is easy.

Just specify for what device gets synced with what music/playlists.

What JRA said. It's by far the easiest way and it means you don't have to buy multiple copies of the same game or piece of music. If you are using the same iTunes account on multiple devices you only have to buy the app once and choose which device downloads it. Same with music.
