My girls absolutely love doing
Sticky Mosiacs. in terms of actual shops, I usually buy them from Australia Geographic stores. You can buy "My First Sticky Mosiacs" which are designed for 3-4 year olds (not as many sticky bits, pictures are more simplistic). For slightly older kids, you can get all sorts of stuff. We have given the
Fairies kit to DD1's best friend (when she turned 5) and she loved it. Lots of options for girls. The
Dinosaur kit is great for boys, and there is a cool dragon kit as well (but probably need to be around 5 or older). If you get the kits that have 4 pictures in them, it keeps them amused for a while. But the single picture kits are good for a smaller gift too.
If you are travelling, then maybe consider something like the
Crayola Colour Wonder colouring pads. huge hit with kids, excellent when travelling. Can buy these sorts of kits from Target, Kmart, etc. There are all sorts of kits.
My kids also like a good sticker book. We have bought some dinosaur ones, marine life books, fairy sticker books, etc.
This one was a hit with my DD1 (5.5 yo). A
space sticker book might be good too?
DD1 is getting a
Mould-and-paint dinosaur fridge magnet kit this Xmas. We know she will like it - she always asks for it whenever we go into australia geographic to buy birthday gifts for her friends.
