Where do you buy those car mats? The ones with the roads for the kids to drive matchbox cars on?

I'd love to get one for DD2 (yes, my daughter, she loves cars, so what? Tounge1.gif) for Christmas, but I have no idea where. Big W and Target don't seem to have them.

Kmart had some foam puzzle ones that were printed with roads. Each mat was about 60cm x 60cm and they came in a pack of 4.

Otherwise, most carpet and rug stores stock them. I've occasionally seen them in ToysRUs too.

I've seen the lurid nylon ones in Spotlight and sometimes in the $2 type shops.

As an alternative - as a child I used to use the grid type pattern on my parents persian rug as streets for my cars so when my sister and her husband were buying a new rug when my nephew was a tiny baby I mentioned this as they were choosing between different designs.

Yep, both he and his brother now use the persian rug 'grid' as roads, army encampments, villages and other assorted imaginative things.
