I used to be such a good budgeter, but this year I've really let it go. I really want to get back on the wagon next year - clean slate and all that.

My goals for 2013:
Pay off the CC (approx. 1200-1500)
Put some savings back in the bank (at least 2k)
All bills back up to being in credit/budgeted for
New blinds in the house
House painted (inside)

It may not seem like a lot, however we have 3 kids - all in fulltime childcare (1 long daycare & 2 OSHC) as DH and I are both FT), plus Christmas, birthdays etc. - our money seems to disappear too quickly! Plus I'd love to be able to tick them off and start again - anything extra we achieve is a bonus!

Do you have any goals for next year?

YES!

Credit card repaid = $1000
School Fees for daughter paid in full at start of year = $7000
All Bills budgeted for and payments ahead
Extra $10K off mortgage

Then:
A holiday
Security screen door
Bedroom makeover for Master Bedroom
Christmas 'done' by October

*It will help that I am returning to full time work and will also receive a $20,000 redundancy before the end of this year but we really need to stay on track and use the extra $ wisely not just spend it all on cr*p.

Yep, was just doing these up on my spreadsheet!

Pay off Ccard = $2,600
Clear tax bill (left over from business income)
Get gutters replaced
First "real" family holiday (that involves flying somewhere)
Increase mortgage payment

2013 should be the year we get our heads above water and clear the last of the hangovers from running a business hands.gif

1. Pay off the personal loan ($6000)
2. Get ahead on the car loan.
3. Save at least half of a house deposit, if not more (full deposit is $20k)
4. Remain up to date/ahead of the bills.

It's going to be tough. I'm not working and it's not looking like I'll find something,. If by some miracle I do, childcare fee's will eat it so I'll have no excess anyway.

We have to try. We aren't going backwards now, but we aren't going forwards either. I'm sick of living in financial limbo.

i'd love a new car - will be classed as a business car and leased.
I'd love for us to hire someone so we can go on a real holiday. Kids want to go to the snow so have to save up for a weekend there...longer if we can hire by then!
I'd love to save enough to do our outdoor area and my walk in robe need to be re-done.
Rest goes on home and business loan.
Want a savings by end of year min of $30, 000.

Next year is a major saving year for us as this year we got married and did some work around the house.

Our goal is to get our mortgage below $250k. It is going to be tight but I'm pretty sure we can do it.

1. Have baby
2. Rely on DP financially for 6-12 months.

This is the first year I HAVEN'T had my own financial goals and it's really freaking me out to be honest.

We have a few for next year

1. Pay off the personal loan. There's $3.5k left on it, and with our mortgage repayments just dropping recently we should be able to get it paid off by the end of March, which is two years earlier than the original term biggrin.gif

2. An additional $10k on the mortgage (it's the max we can pay extra while on a fixed rate)

3. $3-5k for the backyard. It's a massive yard and lots to do, but I really want it to finally get done so that I feel safe having DS play out there

4. We want to go on a cruise in early 2014, so saving for that will be high on the agenda.
