DH has been looking for work, and he recently applied for a job, attended two interviews and went on a two day induction course. The course went through all procedures and policies. Now I am thinking he has a job, but he hasn't provided them any personal information in regards to payroll and his banking details. The job is a casual role.

Can anyone tell me, if you attended an induction course would you normally be paid for this?

Why would he attend an induction course and not be set up in payroll or paid?

When ever I have had induction sessions it has meant that I have the job and I have been paid for the induction sessions.

When we invite people for induction they have already had a formal job offer, and have provide them with payroll forms etc on the first day of induction, if not before hand. There are 4 inductions for our company, 2 online and 2 face to face, and all are paid.

I was offered a role, accepted and completed induction. At the induction session we were given forms to fill out and drop off, payment was then processed within two weeks. Roster was provided 4 weeks later as they were completing the building still.
