My 10 year old is currently in the Australian Girls Choir which she enjoys but really wants to sing pop songs. Are there any groups in Melbourne Northern suburbs that teach kids pop songs in a group and perhaps a little dance as well? She doesn't mind doing a little solo singing as well but I would prefer the classes are a group type situation. Thanks.

My daughter, when she as 10, joined a local musical company for kids from 10-16 yrs and thoroughly enjoyed doing the shows that this company performed twice yearly. She went on to have singing lessons when she became an adult and was found to have a lovely voice. Eisteddfods were another outlet for her voice, but under the guidance of a singing teacher. I would try and find something like this type of company where you live.
