So a bit of fluff for a Sunday morning ....but I just learnt (from another thread) that "jandals" are thongs in NZ, chilly bins are Eskys and .....Hairy McClary...? From Donaldsons Dairy....? That's a milk bar not a dairy farm! Who knew? I'm heading to NZ next year for a holiday....any other words I should know...?!

Judder bars (speed bumps)

Duvet (doona/quilt)

Bach or Crib (holiday home)

Chuddy (chewing gum)

Cheerio (cocktail sausage) - usually given to small children to munch on by the butcher while you're choosing your meat.

I love drama. It's so dramatic.
A Jersey is a jumper/windcheater

Twink is liquid paper, not that you will need to know that for a holiday.

Wendy's is a hamburger joint, not an ice-cream shop.

Hokey-Pokey is honeycomb, especially in ice cream

And be sure to end every sentence with 'ay', ay?

Oh and deny all knowledge of anything rugby. 'World Cup, what World Cup, ay?'
