Remember, You are always living someone else's Dream!
I was just wondering if there was a Brag Thread here for people wanting to show what they have sewn lately?

I am part of a few FB groups and I Simply Adore seeing what people are making! There are SO many talented people around - I have no doubt that there are many here on EB too!!

So, what have you done lately??

Come and Show Off your hard work (and share where you got the pattern or idea as well laughing2.gif I'm always looking for new things to make!!)

Stressed....Whose Stressed...Who Said That!
What I have made lately is in my thread "Santa is here"

I am now knitting a cardigan for one of my granddaughters for next winter. I have two to make.

I will post them on my Blog later. The Santa's I can't until I have handed them out for Christmas presents, but the cardigans I can wub.gif

Doink!
That is a lovely bag, the material looks shiny and slippery, was it hard to work with?

I am a total newbie sewer (hadn't sewn anything since Home Ec. in high school, so 1998), but I have just recently pulled out my sewing machine and started making a few things for Christmas.
Have finished 3x christmas sacks for DS, DD and DS2 for next year, and am working on one for my sister as she liked the ones I made for the kids so much. I'm loving the way they've turned out, considering my lack of skill.
If I wasn't so lazy and resting my stupid swollen foot, I'd go take a pic Tounge1.gif
Will have to come back tomorrow and post some biggrin.gif

PS I agree Lynn, updated photos of your Doll House, please!
I remember when you were tossing up which house to buy, I was amazed at some of the houses available and totally wish I had the money/time/space to make one.

I just finished making the kids Santa sacks out of this cool retro style christmas material. xmas_cool.gif

I also made some mini santa sacks.

I've made christmas bunting for the house.

Im repairing my nephews chair at the moment = a lot of hand stitching! oo and i've also just made a mattress cover for the dolls crib I restored for my DD 2.

And I also made a cushion out of an old t-shirt my nephew wanted to keep - which is the only pic I have taken yet.

Wait on I also hand stitched a cover for this diary I bought for my SIL chrissy present.

I should really put my machine away now happy.gif

Actually I lie - I have also sewn the kids costumes for the end of year performance at school. DD is a werewolf and DS is a dragon - but I only have a pic of his dragon costume.

Doink!

Couldn't find the camera this morning, so this is just a shot from my phone of the first bag I made. It's from a pattern/design I got off the Spotlight website.
Technique wise it's not the greatest, but I love the way it looks IRL, I think it's my favourite of the three I've finished so far.

I'm thoroughly enjoying sewing now, I've got a couple of ideas for some dresses for DD once I get all the Christmas sewing out of the way biggrin.gif

Cadie that costume is gorgeous!!

Sorry ladies I haven't updated my blog, I would love to add the Santa dolls but I can't as my two older kids haven't received theirs yet, and I don't want them to see it there first. I can add it to EB, hence my thread laughing2.gif

I have done absolutely nothing other than the undercoat on the basement. It is sitting flat on the coffee table next to me collecting dust. I have studies to finish first, then I can get stuck into it...so maybe mid next year sad.gif I am still dying to see Wentworth Court complete...it looks beautiful, and it is huge in size...so much bigger than I thought it would be.

I love the bags, the Santa sacks and the Dragon costume....wow you ladies are clever. I am dying to finish my studies, I have so many things I want to do now...always the way.

Great idea Freakypet. I love seeing what others have been making, I always find it inspiring.

Lynn - Looking forward to seeing the completed dolls house. I hope the studies go well.

Tonberry - I love the fabrics you have used in the santa sack. Looks like you are enjoying getting back into sewing. It is so rewarding isn't it.

Freakypet - Did you get your bag posted? What was the recipients reaction? I'm sure she loved it.

Cadie - You have been busy. I also love the costume. Great choice of fabrics. I bet your DS was one of the best dressed.

AFM - I have made a few things lately but I have been so slack that I haven't blogged for a while. There are a couple of things I have made over the past few months that I am pretty proud of that I did actually get blogged.

First is this doll house I made for a birthday back in June. I ended up making 4 of these but didn't take photos of them all. This was the first and I got a bit better with each one.

The other thing I love at the moment are these book slings I made for my DD's room. They are the first thing I see when I look down our hallway and every time I see them, I smile. They are so bright and cheerful. I was planning on a quilt to match for my DD for Christmas but that might not happen until next year now.

I hope this thread keep going as I would love to see other projects. Things have slowed down in the sewing thread quite a bit lately.
