Hi
I am new to calorie counting but am loving it and have lost 3kg in two weeks on a 1200 cal per day eating program. Mine: I love Barambah organic apple and cinnamon yoghurt - a 75g serve is 64 cal and truly tastes like apple pie. Lemongrass tea, steeped and chilled. YUM. 0 cal blueberries .2 cup 21 cal boiled egg 60 cal and OMG a mini magnum with almonds has only 176 cal- I know it' s fairly high but how what an awesome snack for when I just neeeeed chocolate. It totally fulfils me. I was a chocoholic and since eating this way have not craved it at all, only allowing one mini magnum on one day of the weekend as my treat and then I am happy to stop at that. With the silly season approaching, one of my favourite party snacks is cucumber 'blinis'. A slice of cucumber, topped with greek yogurt (or light philly) mixed with a bit of wasabi or horseraddish, and topped with a tiny bit of smoked salmon.

The only problem with the mini Magnum is that they don't sell them singly! The others just sit there in the box looking at you whenever you open the freezer. Agree I am hopeless for this if its there I am going to eat it. I keep stuff like cherry tomatoes, raw carrot, cucumber etc around. It isn't truly exciting but if your hungry quick to grab and stops you from eating the wrong stuff. Raw nuts are also good to have just a few. This is one of the things that I won't binge on. |

raw or roasted, unsalted nuts are a favourite of mine. A little salad made of cherry tomatoes, parsley (both grow in our garden so they're very easy) and a little bit of fetta is lovely too. And miso cucumber, yum.

A baby bel light cheese. 50 calories and it has that fatty mouth feel. A slice of the multigrain bread I buy with a teaspoon of honey is 100 calories and really satisfying.
