I'm all out of ideas so would love to hear what others are buying for their Mums. Thanks!

A subscription to Country Style magazine, and a new bedspread (she loved it when she saw it in the shop one day, so I snuck back and got it for her).

My parents just built a house for their retirement and are in the process of furnishing it, so I've gotten them a really big canvas picture of their grandchildren for them to put on the wall. I was lucky to get a discount voucher, so it wasn't hugely expensive. I love it so much I've also ordered one for our house, too.

Mum and dad just did renovations on their house, I was going to get them a new hall table but realised dad would probably prefer a book so I got mum a new fruit bowl to go in her new kitchen, it matches the really nice wooden cutting board I got her for her birthday at the begining of this month. I got it from oxfam as well and it has a little story about how the organisation that makes them also helps build schools in Indonesia and I knew she would appreciate that because she is a school teacher herself.

A calendar with her grandkids faces on it.

She insisted she wanted nothing for Christmas, so I thought I'd get her something practical at least.

How grand it must be, to be the chosen one...
I had some portraits taken of the kids, so Mum and Dad are getting some of them.

The stupid it burns...
If she was still with us it would be a photo frame with photos of all the Grandkids (Dad will get that now). Instead i'll buy a gift for a Mum from the wishing tree.

A hard one for me too as my Mum is as far away from materialistic as you can get! She does love her garden though so she's getting a Better Homes and Gardens subscription (a yearly tradition), a $50 Bunnings voucher, one of those glass photo thingies with a picture of my boys and a pamper pack.
