How much does your household spend? We spend about $80 a week. Weekend trips really kill us.
I get public transport to work.[link removed by Moderator] But its so hard to look things up when we're on the run Wondering if you have some better ideas and how much you guys spend a week.

Less than $30 most weeks unless we have somewhere further to go on a specific week.
Dh works part time from home, his work isn't far from home. He cycles to gym. Older kids catch buses to Uni, etc Dh coaches sports and will often carpool, get a ride so it cuts costs. We walk to kindy/school when possible if it's too hot etc, it's a 2 min ride in the car. We plan outings so we will go to the bank, shops, post office all in one trip instead of loads of little ones. |

I drive a round trip of about 40kms to work, 5 days per week and spend roughly $20 pw for fuel. I drive a hybrid car, they really are much more fuel efficient.
I also have a Nissan X trail which I used to drive to work, it used to cost me around $70 per fortnight. Now I keep that car just for taking the dogs in. |

Easily $300 a week. Mine would be $50 a week. Diesel territory makes a difference.

I spend around $50 a week for fuel. My DH spends around $150. That's just to and from work. We spend more if we go out anywhere else.

we spend about $40 per fortnight or so.
we both use public transport to work. We only have one car. It does not get used frequently. It is a small car older (at least 10 years old) but quite fuel effecient. |

I spend about $20. My husband would spend $50+ due to his work. He also unfortunately spends a fortune in tolls :-(

$25 for my car, $60 for DH's.
We do about the same amount of k's in each car, but my car is far more fuel efficient. |
