Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh
DD1 has a friend over for a sleep over, the kids wanted to go for a bike ride/skate board ride. The friend is on the skate board. As they were about to leave I asked the friend where her helmet was. She told me it was broken and her parents were buying her a new one. I insisted that she borrow one of ours she has borrowed DD2's.

Have I done the right thing?

The girls(DD1 and her friend) looked at me like I grew horns.

Yep. Right thing IMO. You better go find your pitchfork though, it'll accessorise wonderfully with your horns.

I hated wearing a helmet at that age, so you would've got a filthy look from me too. But you did do the right thing.

I wonder how long her helmet has been "broken" wink.gif

No not a trick question I was just worried I have now socially stunned DD1 by being the mean nasty horn headed mum who makes her friends wear helmets when it doesn't seem to concern the child in questions parents.
