What is your 6-12 month old getting for Christmas? I am out of ideas. I know they don't need much because they are so young I have to have a santa stocking for DD to as DS1 has already said he can't wait to open her santa sack for her.

DS is 1 and he's getting some shoes, new bathers, bucket and spade set for the beach, new backpack for daycare and some duplo.

I figured I'd get him more practical stuff while he's too young to care!

I bought my then 8 month old, a dress, a few books and not much else. Maybe a bath toy or 2. They really don't need anything much, and relatives tend to go WAY overboard for first Christmases so I hardly bothered.

My DD will be just six months. I have bought her some summer pjs (with a matching soft toy), some stacking buckets and a wiggles 'best of' cd.

I am already thinking about her birthday and again I will restrain myself.

The reality is that she will love the wrapping more!

DD (she will be 6.5 months at christmas) is getting some clothes, a koala rattle/teether, and a vulli family tree house (the tree house is really because I want one and it was a good excuse). The tree house is a bit pointless at this age, but I was excited, so I bought it anyway. DS has said he would like to give her a doll, so I will either help him choose one, or he can help me make one.

I didn't buy much when DS was that age, but I have for DD, as otherwise DS will think it's weird that she didn't get anything!
