Hi ladies,

I have applied for a tonne of jobs the last two months. I have just got a call for a job that I would love. Its full time. Its a 12 month contract for next year. The only problem is now I am pregnant.

It wouldnt feel right accepting the job knowing that I am going to have a baby in August. And here is my delima I am not even 5 weeks along yet and have had multiple miscarriages this year. And I worried i will kick myself if something happens and I dont have the interview as jobs in my area are incredibly difficult to come across!

Would you go to the interview or is it just wasting everyones time?

Just because you go to the interview, doesn't mean you have to take a job if they offer it. I'd go and see what happens.

At this point I wouldn't mention being pregnant. Who knows when they might get around to offering the position and if they do, you can then tell them if you want to.

I would definitely go to the interview.

It may be some weeks before you are offered the job even if you are the successful applicant.

Only a ginger can call a ginger a ginger!
Go to the interview. They might find you unsuitable for this job but suitable for a different job. You never know. And it's also a good opportunity to make some good contacts.

I would also go to the interview and then see what the outcome is and go from there!

Goodluck!

Spoke to the union today just to see where it would stand if i was made an offer. They said I am under no obligation to tell my prospective employer, nor would I have to decline an offer. But I am required to give 10 weeks notice of expected delivery date.

Go for the interview, you never know what the future might bring. I went for an interview a few months ago and while I didn't get that job, the interviewer has called me back twice since then, asking me to apply for jobs that have since come up.
