Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.
Who are still awaiting news of whether they have a contract or not for next year, I would just like to say

GOOD LUCK

And that I've got everything crossed for you.

I've finally gotten a permanant job, after 4 years of the contract merry-go-round, and although I still have to find a way to make up the extra day's income I'm losing, I'm SO relieved.

May your Christmas holiday period bring you good news!!

Congratulations Napcat! Awesome news.

Thank you for the good luck wishes.

I've been working casually and I'm hoping for a part time contract next year.

I've been doing interviewing students all week and have been smiling past gritted teeth as I hand out information for THEM so that THEY know what they will be doing next year.... meanwhile I will (as per usual) not know until (generally) the week AFTER the students return!

There is a large part of me who just wants to say "Stuff it... I'm not doing it anymore!" but then I get plaintive pleas from the students who desperately want a 'real' teacher in my subject. (weird specialised Art subject) and I am a sucker!

Poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Oh and congratulations NapCat!

2012 was the only year out of the 4 I've had a job before mid-March/ANZAC day, so I know the feeling!

Fingers, toes, legs and eyes all crossed for you, ladies!

Congrats NapCat - ongoing employment in this field is such a blessing!

My school has declining numbers and so several of our contracted teachers who have been with us for 5-7 years will not be back next year. It's rough.

Congratulations NapCat, that's fantastic.

I've been offered 12 months for next year at a school I really, really wanted just today. I am so excited and can't wait to call first thing tomorrow to accept.

Congratulations NapCat biggrin.gif

Not a teacher but an SLSO.

I got a transfer to full time starting next year at a school that is only 2 years old with great teachers in an IO/IS class original.gif I'll be working with a teacher who was doing Best Start and I'm told she is a great teacher original.gif

This year I got 4 hours permanency per week plus I had long term temp hours. As soon as I got the hours I put in transfers to local schools, I hit the jackpot when the school near me opened up special ed classes. It's everything I want to do.

Being a temp is horrid. I'm lucky I've never relied on the money but I rely on doing the work, I love it !!!!!

I'm still waiting to hear, but I'm fairly sure I'll get 12 months in a special school. Very excited about it, but trying not to be until I know definitely. 12 months knowing what I'm doing every day sounds like a fine kind of life. I'm so sick of day to day.

Congratulations Napcat, very glad for you original.gif .
