Everyone seems so stressed! So what little things bring you joy?

Today I am happy for the online reserves process at the library. Even if it means I have ended up with 19 books to read in the next 3 weeks ninja.gif

Ahaha, I have this delightful problem too!

I like baking Christmas goodies like gingerbread and cardamom shortbread, because I only ever make them this time of year.

I like going for a bushwalk - tree therapy.

I like lying on some grass, looking up at leaves against the sky - quick-fix tree therapy.

I like reading stories to DN.

I like sitting down with a cup of tea after DN is in bed!

I like finding someone new to play the "In my pants" game with (try to find the funniest book/movie/play title when you tack "in my pants" onto it. Best so far is Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises.) ETA: I've just added this to the Games forum. Good one, Ianthe!

Having the foresight to pay for the extended warranty for my iMac when I had the money has made me very, very happy this week!

What makes me happy today is that I have a day off after working pretty much four weeks straight . And the smell of mangoes and other fruit when I open my fridge :-). Oh and I'm also happy because my morning sickness has gone .

How grand it must be, to be the chosen one...
Sitting outside on my little deck in my tiny backyard and thinking, "yes, I am doing this, all by myself"

Listening to Christmas Carols at this time of the year.

Even if I am shopping and feeling stressed, if I make a point of listening and singing along to a Christmas Carol is makes me feel happier.

Generally music works to change my mood.

Little pots of colour!! I am feeling the stress too so plan to go to a garden centre soon and buy some red petunias so I can gaze out my kitchen window at them whenever it's all to much! They make me smile on the inside. biggrin.gif

The greatest gift is a passion for reading
Sitting down to eat lunch while ds3 is asleep and watch super nanny on tv. It will fill me with complete joy that no matter how frustrating my boys can get they are nothing like the kids on this show.

But to properly answer your question, going to school assembly and seeing both my school boys getting awards.
