DS's school has sent home a cake box with the suggestion that parents may like to make something for sale at the Xmas fair on Friday. I gather they are going to sell them.
What can I make that would look nice (and sell, LOL)? I am no good at fancy icing, and potentially the cake/slice/whatever could be sitting in a not so cool place for hours. Recipes need to be relatively easy as I not having a great week. So ... any suggestions? |

Boiled fruitcake? I make a lovely one and sometimes have chocolate pieces in it. You can sprinkle icing sugar on it to make it look decorated.
Otherwise shortbreads in a jar? |

Thanks - DS is determined that it is to be chocolate, so I will do the Cadbury Family Chocolate Cake, with some of those ready made Xmas icing decorations & cachous on it.
