Please tell me I am not the only one!

I am currently online researching shopping centres as we are trekking to the big smoke this weekend and I want to go shopping and I am trying to decide which centre to go to. Mind you, I very rarely buy up big. I am just attracted to the lights, the people, the consumerism and even the odd food court lunch!

I know quite a few stats on various shopping centres in Australia AND world wide. I have been known to compare them by leasing space etc.

You said no strings could secure you, at the station...
If I'm by myself and have spare cash, yes I love shopping centres. Love trying on clothes, love hunting through clearance racks (and there are so many these days!) Love a good bargain.
I probably enjoy it because I only get to do it a few times a year now.

That probably rings true for me too. We have a shopping centre here but it's not very big and the variety of stores is pretty poor.

Yes. When I have money I love shopping!
I can spend hours at a shopping centre. Love it!

I love them! When I first moved to WA and I had no friends or family close by I would pack the boys up and take them to the shopping centre just so I could fend off the loneliness.

I go to our local shopping centre 1-3 times a week and have a window shop. I love doing it without the kids so I can go at my own pace and have a really good look.

I can't be in a crowded space for more than an hour or so, it gives me panic attacks. Being surrounded by strangers overwhelms me. If a shopping centre is not crowded I'm fine, but at peak times of year, hell no.

I like going when I'm buy myself and have actual things that I need to, and can, buy.

So, no.

My friends once half-jokingly suggested I should start one of those walking groups that meets at the local centre instead of the lake. I can wander shopping centres aimlessly for hours and hours.

My record was visiting 3 of the top 6 shopping centres (by size) in Melbourne in the same weekend. Just shopping... all day...

I don't love them I don't think but I do enjoy going, especially the bigger ones that have a kids play area.

I go at least once a week, but I'm equi-distant between two so I alternate to mix it up a bit.
I tend to arrive right on opening time, do a few fast laps to check things out (one lap of each floor) and then we get a coffee (babycino for the boys, mocha for me), get whatever things we need (or if it's a rainy day and I'm there simply to be out of the house then I have a browse for as long as I can), they have a play on the playground and then we finish off with a quick trip to the supermarket (often they'll munch on lunch while doing so) and then home for a nap (DS2) and a rest (DS1 and me).

I do hate this time of year though as they're too crowded, everyone's impatient and it takes too long to do everything. I like my space, lol!
