Yep, it is terrible that some people have lost their lives through this.

From the news pictures that I have seen, the roads out Hobsonville way have a lot of debris and trees on them.

I live on the Shore and we have had some doozy thunderstorms and relatively short but heavy drifts of rain all day!

Our school sent a text to all parents telling them that a weather bomb was due to hit the area around 3.30 and that the kids should be picked up from their classes as soon as possible.

The weather seems pretty clear at the moment but it is Auckland and give it 30 minutes and it will be raining again!

Hopefully it all passes without more people being injured or loss of life.
