After deciding to rescue a dog and bring home a companion for the dog they already had, Emma started to look into the behind the scenes working of dog rescue. When the fatigue associated with MS took over her life and forced her to quit her job she found fulfillment among the rescue community, transporting dogs between shelters and foster organisations.

Thanks folks. I know I only do a little bit, but every little bit helps. I love knowing that dogs are alive because I was able to help. original.gif

Emma, thank you so much for helping save these beautiful doggies. You're their guardian angel, I'm sure original.gif I love big dogs, the more drool, slobber and big goofy grins the better I say! biggrin.gif

I should say that the dog in the pic with the story is Boof. He was saved from Renbury Farm pound by Big Dog Rescue. At the time that I picked him up he was rather severely emaciated. He had been surrendered because he "ate too much"! ohmy.gif nno.gif He was so sweet and gentle. I was sitting in the boot of my car with Boof on leash when he decided to jump in next to me, just for some love and affection. wub.gif What a gorgeous boy he is, I could happily have taken him home and kept him 'furever'. He was adopted within 2 days of arriving at Big Dig Rescue and is now in a home where he is loved and treated as he should be, not starved because he eats too much. Boof is one of the many dogs that I have transported who has touched my life. original.gif
