Another in Central Vic.
Yes, we have 1 car that runs on diesel, which has less than a 1/4 tank left, so we're just not going to use it for the next couple of days. DH wasn't aware until I told him yesterday morning. He rang lots of places but they were out. One place said they hoped to get a delivery in the afternoon and to call after 4.30, so he did, but they didn't answer the phone - felt sorry for them for having to field phone calls all day.

A few mums were talking at school yesterday morning about it - some live 20 minutes away from school (rural area), so I feel for them, they didn't realise either.
Someone that has a bus company said they were also in trouble and wouldn't be able to work if they couldn't find diesel. One or two of DH's clients are affected. DH did a bigger grocery shop than his usual 1 meal shop, as he was concerned there could be a shortage in some foods.
The local news says that some places might not get a delivery until Tuesday. At least DH can work from home.

In a way, it's annoying as it really wasn't in the news so you could plan and prepare, but I guess on the other hand you'd have people getting diesel due to panic, even if they had enough to last them for a week or so.
