Morning all,

I need some suggestions please, I have psoriasis on my scalp and am desperate to find something to help! I have tried many many shampoos and they obviously make it worse, now I am using Sebitar which worked great for a week but now offers no relief at all.

The constant itching is driving me totally batty....I have even shaved my hair to cut down on heat and it hasn't made a dot of difference.

I am going to watch with interest as my dad has had Psoriasis on the scalp for years and I don't think he has found anything yet that helped.

A guy I used to worked with swore by the Atkins diet helping his Psoriasis that he used to get all over his legs.

My sister had it bad (as many hairdressers do) and a specific diet was suggested to her - sorry I can't recall it.

You need tar shampoo if its thick and a steriod liquad script from your doctor.

I'll be watching too, as DH has the same problem and has tried so many things unsuccessfully.

I would just break out the cortisone, rub it into your scalp at night. The newer ones like daivobet contain two active ingredients. Tar based shampoos are great for maintenance once you've cleared up the psoriasis, but if it gets bad they won't be enough to make it go away.

Also, take fish oil, avoid 'yeasty' foods.

My husband has chronic psoriasis, he has pretty much tried everything out there, natural, medical etc. He is now on a biological treatment that is pure awesomeness, but you have to be pretty severely effected before you get to this stage.

I have recently purchased some of their products for cradle cap (DS), and am seeing results in such a short time.

It is available from most large chemists or they also have an online store.

We tried so many products, shampoos, creams and noting worked. Moo goo seems to be doing its job.

Dh has dermatitis on his scalp and the only thing that helps him is keeping his hair super short.

Do you live in an area with high humidity?

His scalp clears up immensely whenever he's in Melbourne (we live in SE QLD unfortunately!).

Hi, I have tried everything from moo goo to doctor meds etc and had no luck. Went to psoriasis clinic in Perth about a year ago and it is finally in remission. My scalp was the worst and it was really bad. Best thing I did. Nic u just google psoriasis clinic I your state and see what comes up u should come up with contact details.

i was going to suggest moogoo as well, i have the psoriasis cream for ds as well as the eczema face one and they do help to a degree. this is more for eczema but my sil gives her daughter flax-seed oil(i think a tbsp a day) she said it tastes gross but really helps... i wonder if it would help your psoriasis too? this sounds like the ideal solution though:
