Hi Ladies
My daughter has been given her costume for her school concert on Monday night. The problem is her t-shirt is a massive 2 or 3 sizes too big!! It is not one of those fitted t-shirts, more of a standard loose fitting one. I was thinking of unpicking the sleeves, running in the sides and then putting the sleeves back in. Before I hack at the shirt I am trying to get my head around the sleeve hole. After running in the sides will the sleeve hole be too big? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

The sleeve hole will then be too small for the sleeve. What about running it in from the hem of the sleeve straight down to the hem of the shirt itself?
It might still be too wide across the shoulders. |

If you turn the t-shirt inside out, does it lay flat? If so, you could probably run up the sides and sleeves all in one go, if you know what I mean.

Thanks
I had a go at it - it looks better. I ended up unpicking the side seams and the sleeve and then making it a bit smaller on all egdes. Then I re-attached the sleeves and then ran down the sleeve and side seams in one go. There was no shape to it to start with - just basically a rectangle! It looks OK - will suffice for the night. Thanks again! |
