Germany's Roman Catholic church has revealed that at least 66 clergy had been accused of sexually abusing children and adults during a 10-year period, with most of the victims male.

Why do you think most victims of child sexual abuse by catholic priests are boys? This was also the case with the recent media reports regarding catholic priest abuse in Victoria.

I'd say boys are more accessible to them. Girls/Women don't have many roles in the Catholic church.

The priests look after the boys in homes, church, etc.

Boys can't get pregnant either, so reduces the potential "complications" and the priests can avoid having to get someone to have an abortion to cover up the "relationship".

I think it's this ^ ....alter boys, choir boys (are they the same thing?).... The brothers or priests are more likely to teach at the boys school, whereas nuns would take on the girls (I think this is more true of the past, maybe not so much now)

Many priests run catholic boarding schools as well.
Dhs best friend used to go to the sunbury catholic high school boarding school and know the priests well who have recently been in the media.

While nothing happened to him there were lots of rumours and innuendo going around. He said going to authorities or telling parents was never considered a option.

Massive culture that promoted silence and not even discussion.

It's good that these bastards are finally seeing justice.

The fembos go so overboard.
Because the heterosexual pedophiles are hooking up with single mothers with young daughters. The homosexual ones have fewer options.

I think it's access. But I also think the stats would be skewed because I believe girls/females are more likely to feel victim guilt and less likely to report.
