I started in this position about 14 months ago. Two months ago, I've been given the opportunity to step into the next role up and take on managing a team of 4. This position won't be starting until early next year as I have to get trained up for it.
However, there has been no discussion of a pay rise. We do our annual performance and pay review in April so should I just wait until then to discuss the role or should I bring up the discussion now? What would you do? Wait until they start the conversation about the pay rise or start it now? How much would you ask for? The people on my level are on package in the range of $60k-$70k; I'm currently on the higher end. I think the people in the managerial positions are on $85k - $90k.
I am hesitating a bit in bringing it up a bit because I am quite young and inexperienced. This is my first managerial position and I am the youngest in the team.
