Hi
We have our schools P&C AGM coming up in a few weeks, we have a bit of a disagreement between some members. Does anyone know the answer.
Are non financial members of the P&C eligible to vote at the AGM?
The federation website is a bit ambiguous and is being interpreted in 2 ways by the disagreeing parties.
Appreciate any feedback or links.

The grabbing hands grab all they can
Only financial members can vote at any meetings, ie. they need to have paid their dues at the previous meeting to be eligible. You can't just rock up on the night, pay your money and vote at that same meeting.

Ring the P&C HQ in your state, they will tell you whatever you need to know.

Yes they have to be paid up but at our meeting we accept money at the meeting prior to voting.

I think the rules are pretty straightforward stating that you have to pay before the close of a meeting and you are then allowed to vote at any future meetings. However I have never been part of a P&C that actually follows the "rules" terribly closely.
