As title says, I want to make sushi and I have no idea where to start!
Google has some basic recipes but I was wondering what everyone uses. Thank You |

Easy. Do you have a rice cooker? If so it makes it even easier. Standard for rice cooker is 1 cup rice to 1 cup water.
Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water - drain Add 1 and a 1/2 cups of cold water, bring to boil, cover, simmer for 12 mins Remove from heat and stand covered for 10 mins Place rice in non-metallic bowl and evening mix through 3-4 tbsp of sushi vinegar using wooden spoon. Cool rice via fanning You can buy sushi rice but I think that is exxy - I just buy medium grain rice instead. Fillings - canned tuna, kewpie mayonaisse, lemon juice to taste, chives, seasonings raw salmon, cucumber, avocado cream cheese, lemon juice, smoked salmon, chives and seasonings. I make the above regularly - in fact I am making some for this weekend. |
