Fluffy question

When you make LCMs or Rice Bubble Treats do you pick out the white marshmallows (or buy a white only pack that I have not yet found) or do you use the pink and white ones?

I was looking for a recipe to make them today and I found more than one review saying that using pink marshmallows made them look revolting blink.gif .

The batch I just made looks slightly pink, but has hundreds and thousands on top, I think they look and taste yummy, but since these are for a christmas party I wondered what others do.

Even if everyone says revolting, my pink LCMs are going. I hate cooking for take-a-plate things.

Give me my coffee and no one gets hurt!!!
At our house I pick out the pink ones and use those for treats or roasting on the fire.

I grew up eating the home made version in Canada and we never, ever had pink marshmallows so they look too weird to me.

Options for your LCM's
mini M&M's on top,
Melt 2-3 tablespoons of peanut butter through with the marshmallows - then add some choc chips at the end

Rice Bubble Bars

I used this one, which is the most basic recipe and just sprinkle the hundreds and thousands on before it sets.

In a related question, does coconut ice have to be pink?

No, it has to be pink and white. Always pink and white!

Depends on my mood and time and/or whether I can recruit the kids to do it. Sometimes its just white, others its mixed.
