Bored!
Was just thinking today of those really annoying little habits we have or our partners have, which are truly not consequential or important to life at all...but drive us nuts!

My husband has a very bad habit of not listening to me.

I in return have a VERY bad habit of ignoring him when I get the sh*ts from being ignored for the 4000th time in a day.
(because I get sick of telling the same story 4000 times in a day! )

I'll start!
My husbands:
* gets into the car to go somewhere....and sits there! Drives me bonkers! even if we are driving hours to our destination, he will want to know if I know where we are going at the Gold Coast (for example) when it's 2 hours of driving before we even reach the necessary exit!!! So we rush out the door, after packing up the car, we are all buckled in....and we "sit" whilst he ponders the meaning of life for 5 minutes

* he asks me a question, completely off topic or out of context and if I dont' answer in a split second, then he barges at me again....again...and again It's SO rude and obnoxious and it drives me nuts when he does it! Like the other morning, he bursts into the bedroom at 4.30am when I am sound asleep wanting to know where my keys are and by the time I'm conscious, he's practically yelling at me "where are they? Wherea re they?" by the time I woke up and found them I was furiousss!!!

I'm sure I'll think of a few more!

Me? I'm sure i have absolutely NO irritating or annoying habits

Lately he has been clearing his throat loudly and frequently. Our 7 month old has started mimicking the sound and the coughs that follow. I call them "Daddy noises"

He finishes sentences with "yeah".

Oh - this one is related to him having a NESB and I know is cultural - but still drives me nuts.

He will address letters, communications (and sign them) as well as in speech, say "I" or "me" when it is something relating to all of us and he should be including us all by saying "we" or "us" or signing off from "Peter and Jane and kids" not just him.

If it makes sense? He refers to himself only, not us as a couple or us as a family. I hate it and find it quite hurtful sometimes. Even though I know he doesn't mean it to hurt me...but I think that after nearly 20 yrs in this country adn culture, he shoudl be able to get it right more often.

DH does the dishes. Great. Well, almost does them. Does them all except leaving maybe two things and a sink full of gross dirty dishwater.

I cannot figure out why he couldn't just spent the extra 15seconds to finish the job. It drives me mental as he does this Every. single. Time.

And I hate finding it later and having to reach into dirty tepid dishwater to get the plug out eewwwwww.

yes yes yes! Mine too! He will leave all the gunk in the bottom of the sink drainers and not wipe out and clean the sink OR wipe the benches down and yes, he'll say he's cleaned up, but all he has done is shove the obvious stuff in the dishwasher, shoved the pots and pans onto the space beside the sink.....at best? it's half done...the easy stuff is done, but the actually more difficult and time consuming work?????

DF is soooo annoying when he eats his cereal in the morning. Constantly clinking the spoon against the bowl. It frustrates me so much that it makes my nose twitch!

What's worse is that he knows it

He is also a drummer and has a frequent compulsion to drum on anything... they guy can't keep still unless he's asleep which is still annoying because he's usually snoring!

But I can't help but love him...
