And now I feel bad.

It wasn't until I read the report cards that were sent out 2 weeks after school had finished, that I realized DD had other teachers.

I know, I know, pretty dumb of me but...no excuses. Just a ditz.

Oh technically speaking, not all as I don't give them to the specialist teachers. I know they all hate one of them and the gifts are about the children giving them. They've never expressed a desire to give one to the PE or LOTE teacher either.

I got about 4 cards this year from kids who obviously think the Art teacher was swell Tounge1.gif but it't's not usual to give gifts to the specialist teachers in primary schools.

I give to their classroom teachers.

I'm a specialist teacher, and get very few gifts. Even the kids I have for half the day (literacy and numeracy sessions) often give a gift to their classroom teacher and not me.

I don't mind, I can do without the chocolates!

My children give gifts to the teachers they wish to give them to. So that might be their main class teacher, or not. It might be a specialist teach they have particularly liked or not. Some years they don't give anything to any teacher. I leave it entirely up to them.

No gifts at all. But I'll send an email praising their work if I think it's due. As a teacher myself, I prefer words to gifts.

sanity is over-rated
the main one...

i have no idea who the PE, spanish or music teachers are, however i do know how much hard work their main teacher has put in... to be truthful i never thought of buying stuff for the others

oh i also brought a container of malteasers for the OSHC ladies to share because my boys are in there every day and most of the school holidays!

Only for classroom teachers, and if there is more than one I would probably do a token gift at least. This year DS2 had one teacher four days a week and one for only one. They were both wonderful teachers so I still gave the one day a week teacher a present.
