HI, I have 9 adults and 3 kids coming over for Christmas lunch and I was looking at buying a turkey roll and a ham for lunch. Someone suggested a Lenards Turkey Roll? They are around 2.3kg roughly but I have no idea how much they cost - there is nothing on their website about price. I have tried the frozen Ingam Turkey rolls before but I thought Lenards would be nicer? Also I don't know if one of the Frozen ones would be enough for 9 adults? Anyone have any experience with Turkey rolls?? Thanks.

Are you able to get your hands on Nichols Poultry in your neck of the woods? I'm not a fan of the 'roll' generally but Nichols is great.
The important thing to feed a hoard is to have lots of potatoes and lots of delicious gravy! |

I have bought the chicken rolls before and after they are cooked they shrink a bit like any meat. You definitely won't feed 9 adults with only one. They aren't cheap either but that's what you pay for the ready made convenience.
I might get a couple and try them too |

the prices are generally set by individual franchisee's - so you'll have to go to your local store to see their prices.
As a general rule, I think you're meant to allow 250 grams of meat per person = 2.250kg for adults (unsure about the age of the kids/how much they would eat) . But generally people like to binge a bit on Xmas day. They should be able to do you a 3kg one (or two small ones). Just reread your post - if you're serving a ham as well, a 2.3kg roll should be more than enough. I've had the precooked rolled breast before = lovely. You can reheat it if you want to warm, or just slice and eat. |

Thats what I was thinking. I thought the Lenards ones might be a bit bigger than the Ingam ones but I think they are about the same size. Oh well, I think I'd better buy two. I'd hate to not have enough food and we can always eat leftovers (yummy!).

Thanks everyone. I'll go and ask the Lenards store how big their rolls are and go from there. I'm having some ham as well mainly for my Dad - he loves ham and is not that keen on turkey. Kids are 4, 4, 3 so wont eat a huge amount. I think if I can get a 3kg roll and a medium ham, I should be fine.

We do the 2kg frozen turkey rolls and a half ham leg plus a few prawns. There are 5 adults and my 3 girls that eat it. We always have heaps left over.
