Ok so we get back from overseas and have heard our neighbours dogs barking again.Before I left I went back and forth with them and the council for a year finally before we left they seemed to be better. Now they are just the same I have no energy to deal with this. I just want to sell and move.To clarify the dogs bark on and off for 4 hours a night and every morning for half an hour at 6 and on and off Saturday and Sunday. Our neighbours yard is only 2 meters from our living room and the sound is so loud you can't hear the TV.DH wants stay and double glaze our living room windows but no guarantee it will works and I don't want to spend money we have.Feeling pretty depressed and upset as our hours minder said he hadn't heard the, at all. We have been gone for 2 months for DH's work

Do the double glazing first. Either it will help you deal with the noise, or it will mask the issue for potential buyers. Either way it is money well spent.

I agree with pp. But I still think you should go back through the council again. Clearly previous tactics are not working so something more 'dramatic' needs to be done.

I am not sure whether going the legal route would be a good idea.
