Have done some research into the paleo/primal diet & it makes a lot of sense to me.
Am curious as to whether there is anyone else who had adopted this lifestyle and successfully lost weight? |

I have been following a Paleo diet since late July and have lost 10kg. This might not seem like much but I was in the healthy weight range to start. I started by concentrating on eliminating sugar, then grains, then increasing good fats and now reducing carbs. There are so many good books to help with cooking. I love Everday Paleo and Make it Paleo.
I have been eating free range chicken and have now sourced reasonably priced grass fed beef. It is definitely a way of life and not a diet. I did this mainly to help with hay fever and food intolerances. This hay fever season I took 6 Zyrtec in total. Last season, I was taking up to 6 a day. I also started CrossFit at the same time and go 3 times a week for an hour. I love it |

I am "almost" paleo.
Except I do eat some limited dairy such as greek and natural yogurt (and the occasional sprinkle of parmesan I feel fantastic since dropping out the grains and sugar. I have lost my baby weight quicker than I did with the other babies plus an additional 5 kilos without ever being hungry or feeling deprived. I will never EVER diet and count calories again. I followed the Smarter Science of Slim. Its a great book and has free podcasts you can listen to. I also read the Metabolic Effect - so many fantastic and practical solutions and tips to manage cravings and hunger. Both books mostly align with paleo but with much more info on how to live the fat loss lifestyle. I cannot recommend them enough. Both can be found on Facebook too. btw - crossfit is awesome. I avoid doing steady state cardio and train with high intensity but for shorter periods. This gets your body's fat burning hormones pumping. I could explain so much more but reading the books or listening to the free podcasts or reading the articles is the way to go.
