What books do you recommend for a 7 yo girl? Would like to get a few for my daughter for Christmas.

Her reading skills are quite good, but the challenge is keeping her interested in the book!

Would welcome any recommendations original.gif

DD loves the diary of a wimpy kid series.

She asked for Ramona and Beezus for Christmas but I couldn't find it anywhere.

My DD1 is an avid reader and loves the following series:

* Ivy and Bean
* Clementine Rose
* Go Girl
* Rainbow Magic Fairies
* Darcey Bussell Ballerina

She also absolutely loves Roald Dahl and has nearly read all of his books!

The witches handbook. You can buy it second hand on Ebay. My absolute favourite when I was a little girl and I have bought it for several friends' daughters. It is gorgeous!

Our 6 year old is loving the Famous Five. The words aren't difficult but there is some old fashioned language. She's also into Pearlie and the Faraway Tree and Wishing Chair.
