Hi All,
Any ideas where I can find someone to sew a new dress for my beloved (and ragged) 8 year old daughter's doll? We are onto our second dress, and she wants the dress to be the same as the first (the second was a replica of the first dress). It also needs new material shoes sewed onto the dress. So whoever sews it needs the doll to sew shoes on. Where do I find such a person? Any ideas? I'm obviously happy to reimburse the person very well for their efforts as this is a precious doll! Thanks ladies Michelle |

Maybe the little place at Alderley - on Samford Road, next to post office. I think Funky fabrics they are called.
And isn't there a teddy hospital in the back of Southbank? |

Hi,
Thanks, that is really close to us, I might give them a call! Dolly has been at the hospital before for some new arms and legs, but this time, its more about the clothing so I thought maybe an experienced sewer (is that a word?) could do it?? Thanks so much Michelle |

I'd give them a call first and make sure of hours. I think it's just one person.

I make and sell Waldorf Dolls, and do some clothing sewing as well. Any chance of a photo so we can see what type of dress etc. you need?

Sorry, got my words confused. Fabric fusion is the Alderley one. Funky Fabrix was at Blackwood St, Mitchelton, but not sure if still there. Little businesses like that - hope they are still there. |
