We sit on top of a mountain overlooking the Gold Coast - huge lightening strike and masses of lights went dark!

Seriously - DH swears it was thousands, and believe me, when you look on down it usually looks like fairy lights twinkling over many, many kilometres... and right now it is a sea of black!

We are thankful to be sitting on the edge watching the show unfold.

Anyone else seeing this? ffear.gif

some of the lightning in Brisbane tonight has been awesome, and we were technically on the edge of the storms - you guys would be right in it according to BOM. Northern Rivers area is really copping it!

Hope everyone is safe.

And enjoy the show.

Me too. I watched the storm coming on the radar and it just petered out when it reached us.

Still have power here at the bottom of the mountain. I had 2 very scared kids though hiding under a blanket trying to watch Dr Who. The thunder was really intense, I confess I flinched a few times like a big sook. The rain has been lovely though.

I'm currently on North Stradbroke, we really hadn't seen any of it til now. The thunder is slowly rolling in, good light show. No power loss.
