Yes it was published in the national review which is an american conservative publication and as such should be viewed with scorn...but the fact that woman could write this, and a publication could publish it just makes me want to perform violent acts on people!

I don't think bravery has anything to do with gender. But I do understand where she is coming from regarding the 20 year old boy with no job, no continuing education living at home and being idle. Idlesness and social isolation are a pretty horrible combination, particularly in the gunman who seems to be known to already have some mental health issues...

I don't mean that at all, just that having no job, no continuing education and nothing to do all day can't be seen as a good thing for anyone. Much less an already socially isolated, unstable and unhappy person.
