When I was a child growing up in England, Wizard of Oz would play each year on Christmas Day (no VcRs then!)
I'm not sure my 3 year old will 'get' Wizard of Oz just yet so looking for inspiration! |

Oh..........
I don't think your 3 year old would enjoy our Christmas favourite 'Bad Santa' with Billy Bob Thornton either! Although apparently this year because we will be with DP's family we will be watching that other Christmas classic - Die Hard! |

My DH makes us watch Jingle All the Way on Christmas Eve. The first time it was ok, after about 12 times I HATE IT.
I love Deck the Halls. There are many movies suited to younger children. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer etc They were all played on tv every Christmas every year when I was young in the 70's and 80's and unfortunately are no longer on television at Christmas time. Have a look at the BHiFi website for inspiration. |

For the adults it is love actually on Christmas Eve.
It is probably because the airports at beginning and end resonate with us..my brothers wife lived in a different country when they met, I lived interstate to my DH. My dad would travel is most of the year...... So airports feature in our lives. We watch it when we are all together ( like last year in Switzerland) or when we are all apart like this year. |

Well, I watch Lord of the Rings which, obviously, isn't suited to your purposes. Nor is it Xmas movie.
I also watch A Muppets Christmas Carol which may be more your little one's style? ETA Another Love actually annual viewer here too. DH hates it though so I'm planning on watching it today! This post has been edited by futureself: 21/12/2012, 10:51 AM |

We don't generally - but this year we are going to a screening of a muppet christmas carol at the rooftop cinema. I'm very excited.
