Hi Ladies,
We're going to my brother's for Christmas Eve dinner tomorrow and we've been asked to bring dessert. I'm absolutely stuck on what to bring, does anyone have any ideas?
I'm a reasonable cook (though my oven is pretty crap). I'm terrible with pastry (so that's out), and it will need to feed 8-10 people. Sorry, not sure what they're doing for dinner in case anyone wondered. Does any one know any recipes that are not too complicated and don't need doing overnight?
TIA!! original.gif

I did pavlova for our christmas do yesterday, it was a hit. Stuck whipped cream and a mix of fresh berries all over it(even got some red currants!) with some passion fruit as well.

Google one of those trifles you just construct with jam rolls, chopped jelly etc. Pop it in a big glass bowl, they look flashy & impressive!

Con Sprezzatura.
I'm doing dessert for Christmas day. I plan to cheat and buy a huge stack of profiteroles, and serve them with a selection of lovingly made sauces. I think three should do....chocolate, cherry, and honey & rosewater are what I have in mind.
